Angels Received Their Wings

Nobody could ever image
That one person could do this act
Take so many people away
From their families and friendsLight a candle, shed a tear
Times are hard for everyone
Don't be bitter, don't be sad
Memories are held close to your heartSeptember 11th is Remembrance Day
To all who lost everything in one day
Taking by surprise, the world stood still
Unable to image how this could be so realTo the families of loved ones
The pearly gates open
To the hearts of gold
So many angels received their wings
On this September day.
