Love Can Fill It Again

The baby cried out this his mother
The pain on his face was ever so clear
It didn't matter how much she loved him
Her love couldn't clothe him
The streets weren't a place to raise him
And love had never seemed so horrible
Love can desert you
Love can hurt you
It can leave you upside down
The feeling can almost be hollow
And when it's too much
Love can fill it again
No one said growin' up was easy
But with a family like his
The baby grew up into a fine, young man
He thought he understood love
But his bride didn't agree down the long run
And love had never left him so alone
