Remembrances of Tomorrow
~By Robert Griffith
After years of solemn solitude,
Basking in the rays of the repulsed,
The end of dawn set upon the field of life,
Crossing the lines that marked my age and span.
For so long I had forgotten friends,
Pacing alone in the sheen of a park lamp,
The beginnings of twilight casting darkness,
Over shadows that were already there.
Eternity had divorced from forever,
Gazing into a dewed leaf of passed time,
Perchance dusk again would come,
Easing the hope already fallen behind.
