Untitled Poem #1

One man missed his home
His family and his wife
One man broke a bone
And later lost his life
One man cried aloud
"I do not want to die"
One man in the crowd
As the time went by
One man saw his friend
In the blood and guts
One man in the end
With a knife that cuts
One man realized
Once that you are dead
One man merely dies
With any price on his head
One man was in tears
Sweating on the field
One man proudly bears
A star upon his shield
One man slowly dies
Upon the bloody ground
One man searched the skies
But hope cannot be found
One man drops his sword
Says he will not fight
One man keeps his word
And dies for what is right
One man all alone
Sees that it's too late
One man can't atone
For many years of hate
One man calmly prays
For an easy death
One man sees a haze
And takes a failing breath
One man can't retreat
Death is the only end
One man can't be beat
But neither can he mend
