Got Off The Train

~ Melissa McDonald

I got off the train one day,
Walked by your street,
Went past your door,
But you don't live there anymore.

I got off the train one day,
And saw you there,
Walked to your house,
Now you don't live there anymore.

I got off the train one day,
Then it hit me,
I'll never see you again.

I got on the train one day,
I saw you there,
Standing behind me,
Roses in hand.

I ran down to hug you,
But you weren't there anymore
