The Promised One

Oh Holy Night
Not so Silent night
The screams of Mary, a mere child
With labor so wild
She carried the Promised One
Through whom the Fathers will be done

Humble birth sweet baby boy
One to fill the world with joy
A King of might
wrapped in blanket so trite
The heavens declare
Hell beware

Emmanuel, God is with us
Tiny baby made no fuss
Though humble stable birth
Jesus brought freedom to the earth
