So Far, Yet So Close

So far away,
Yet so close, so close.
Brought together by friends,
Or was it fate?
Brought together by a device,
Intentially designed for war,
Now used for peace.
And our aims are the same.
I tell you my problems,
You tell me yours.
Together we solve them,
And our friendship is reinforced.
This time last year,
Your existance I knew not.
And yet, today, I know I would not live
Without your constant support.
And I hope that you feel the same.
