I Learned

Long ago when I was a child
I lived in my world blissfully ignorant
The world was fresh, clean, and free
And nothing could contain the joy in me
Now I've changed, not much but enough
That no longer am I ignorant
I was touched with wisdom
A blessing or a curse
I have yet to understand
But I crave to learn
And I've learned to crave
For all that I cannot have
But I will learn and in time
I will know enough that I can move on
To a place where all my wisdom
Becomes obsolete
None of it will matter
There will be no need
