The Old One

The old one is still a gentle flower.
The mother will protect its young
The mother being a flame among its daughters.
Although the pollutants of mankind threaten it.
The Old One stays strong.With animal life helping it.
With mankind destroying their only home.
The Old One stays strong.
How The Old One does it is completely and utterly unknown.
It's the smartest of its eight other sisters.
The one coming in second mankind is studing to destroy.
The Old One stays strong.As its death comes near with the old one.
It fights to last another couple o' billion.
The Old One stays strong.Things aren't the way they were before.
The Old One was once so strong and beautiful.
Then mankind created a way of death which is called technology.
But through all the heartaches,
The Old One stays strong
