Heartbroken
~By Anand
Of all the pains that we feel and see,
This is the most painful, you'll agree,
It's felt when your love goes away,
And you feel why do I have to see this day.
When a relation turns from sweet to sour,
The closeness of your hearts feels more than far,
The times when you are lonely and apart,
Nothing hurts like a broken heart.
Life is full of sadness and despair,
Forgotten are the words "For you, I'll be there",
Gone are the promises, love and things said,
Living with a broken heart is worse than being dead.
You struggle and survive, but all in vain,
You've paid a price for nothing to gain,
You try to cheer up, but things worsen,
It's heavy to carry, a heart that's broken.
You run for the ring, you run for the door,
But it's not her and it hurts even more,
The memories haunt you like a weary ghost,
Really, a broken heart hurts the most.
