This is the first album AC/DC is released since “Stiff Upper Lip” in 2000, and after waiting almost a decade for another album, Black Ice did not disappoint.
The album hit number one on the Billboard Top Rock Albums list and went double platinum, selling almost two-hundred thousand copies the day of release in the US.
Black Ice made history when it debuted at number one on 29 different album charts around the globe, so apparently I was not the only person waiting for a new album from AC/DC.
The album features a ton of “Classic AC/DC” guitar riffs with, of course, Angus Young still wailing away on his Gibson SG. Plus really classic, punchy bass lines that a reminiscent of older albums such as Back in Black. AC/DC is touring this album from 2008 through 2010.
