With Many artists the sophomore album is struggle, their ratings often go down and the artist must come back with full force with their 3rd album. This common problem is no so with young singer/writer Stacie Orrico. This sixteen year old pop singer is full of life and her music is true to life.

Compared with other Christian artists Stacie is a new breed of singers. Her music attracts kids, teen, and young adults from both the Christian and secular world; it has been compared with Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson and Janet Jackson. MTV’s Total Request Live has played her popular video ‘Stuck’ increasing this girl’s popularity. She has toured with Destiny’s Child, Rachel Lampa and Plus One to name a few popular artist she’d sung with. Many Christian artists sing solely about God and how their lives relate to what God is doing in the world, Oricco stick to that mold. Her songs speak to her listeners lives. Songs such as, Stuck the opening track talks about a teenaged girl who was dumped by the popular guy in school. "So many people, especially young girls, get into relationships where they're not being treated very well," says Stacie. "But they end up staying in them, because they find security in having a boyfriend, and maybe haven't seen what a good relationship is like. So you end up feeling emotionally torn, or stuck, which is where that whole I hate you, but I love you/I can't stop thinking of you part comes in."

Her other songs ask important questions, like is there life after death? Is there more to life then chasing down every temporary high? She also speaks against ‘playas’ and tell them to ‘drop the drama’. A young girl who’s made a splash in the secular music world and yet can maintain the purity of her lyrics and life is a rare thing to find. Stacie Orrico has won a lot of respect for her abilities. Fans hope she will continue her encouraging singing and hope to see more from this award winning and nominated chick. Those that were worried that she crossed over fear not, our Stacie has not crossed over... She just brought the Cross over!
