The Popularity of five member vocal bands grows; normally these bands are same gender. Jump5 is not a normal five member vocal band. With three girls and two boys Jump5 splashed on to the music front with an energetic self titled CD. These young teens give a fresh sound to the their music, with their young untarnished voices. Their lyrics are clean and the music makes you want to dance. Jump5’s popularity has reached even Radio Disney as well as homes around the world.

Starting out with a quick fun song called “Spinning Around” Jump5 shows their listeners just how fun they are in short rap solos and a pop sound. They continue their fun style with “Virtual Reality”, after which they tone it down just a notch for “Change a Heart, Change the World”. Next Jump5 shares the age-old question, “The Meaning of Life.” Next with “All I Want” Jump5 shows how they can mix two styles of music, from a chant like line, to a soft pretty voice in the background. “I Wish I Could Read Your Mind” is a type of love song, with much softer music than before songs. “Tell me why” “I Belong To You” and “I Love You Too Much” are all more mellow songs of love and friendship, after which they take their sound back in to high gear with “When I Say Your Name”. This ends the official part of the CD. Jump5 added their bonus track, The Jump5 Radio Disney Mix that is a dance mix. This song is a lot of fun, and if you have a bunch of kids to wear it just play this and tell them they have to jump for the entire song. (This also works for “Spinning Around” just tell them to spin for the whole song!) Jump5 ends their CD with probably one of their best sung songs. In a tribute to America Jump5 sings their own rendition of “God Bless the USA”
