The band's career bloomed with their sophomore album Silver Side Up which went as far as multiplatinum, selling well over 900 million copies worldwide
The bands first album The Slate hit the shelves in 2000, going gold soon after. Their second album saw three #1 hits, one of which racked up four grammy nominations, as well as four Billboard Awards, four Juno awards, and the list goes on.
The song, How You Remind Me, was voted #1 most played song of 2002 across all formats. Two other #1 hits came out of this album shortly after also seeing much success. When all this was done, Nickelback was voted #1 Most Played Rock Artist of 2002 Across All Formats.
Now, in 2003, the #1 most played band are back in action with a third new album due out in late September, The Long Road features new singles. The album is expected to top the charts, this includes the already released Someday. With their success, Nickelback will continue doing what they do best--Rock the music world.
