Contest Rules and Guidelines

These are the guidelines that you should follow when entering your original artwork, or graphic art for the monthly contests.

File types and sizes.

  1. Contests are open to Outpost 10F Community Members only.
  2. Please only submit JPEG/JPG, TIFF, or PNG file types.
  3. Please keep your individual files under 50k if you are sending them directly through email and keep the width at no wider than 500 px so that it will fit the page correctly. If they are larger please provide a URL where we can go to "pick up" the image. If the image is large the Guildmaster might resize the image so it will look and fit better on the contestant's page for easier viewing by the judges.
  4. We ONLY accept original artwork. Anyone discovered copying someone else's artwork and declaring it as their own will be banned from present and future Artists' Guild contests.


    5. Definitions of the types of submissions that the contest will ask for.
    Please be aware that sometimes the monthly contests will have certain themes.
    • Background only
      - This will be a background design page only with no accessories.
    • Page Sets
      - A page set consists of a background, a title banner, and buttons. You may also include some sort of bullet's for bulleted lists, and a divider line. For this please create a HTML page that has everything already arranged on it the way you want it to look, that is not required, but it would be greatly appreciated.
    • Banners
      - Banners are usually 468 x 60 pixels that are used as ads at the top of web pages for different purposes. They may be animated.
    • Animations
      - Animated GIFs. Example 3D Renderings - These are files that are made with 3D programs, such as Ray Dream, Bryce, 3D Studio Max and Poser.
    • Paintings/Drawings
      - Original artwork that has been painted or drawn. When submitting these please include the type of medium used as well as the name of the artwork.
    • Pencil or Color Pencils
      - Original drawings done in pencil or color pencil are accepted.
    • Computer Generated
      - You use any type of graphics programs.
    • Desktops
      - You may use any theme; Star Wars, Star Trek, Anime, X-files, Farscape, Dr. Who etc..
    • Signature
      - It is advisable for you to put your initials, mark or a signature in the right hand corner of whatever you submit.
