Futility

~By Michael Pelton

Impotent words run across lonely pages.
Mute heralds, trying to convey convoluted thoughts.
The words themselves, innocent of blame.
The fault lies not in the linguestics, but resides soley within the author.
raging at his inability to animate the feelings that torment him so.
Hoping that if he can present the perfect portrayal, the anguish will subside.
His continued inneffectiveness, only adding to his self doubt.
The pen and paper become bullies.
Always taunting.
Driven away from time to time.
But never really vanquished
